O avô do adolescente Sawamura Setsu que o criou, e a seu irmão mais velho, Wakana, faleceu recentemente. Seu avô foi um dos maiores músicos de Shamisen e os dois irmãos cresceram ouvindo-o e aprendendo a tocar o instrumento. Desde a morte de seu avô, Setsu largou o colégio, mudou-se para Tóquio e tem estado à deriva, sem saber o que fazer. É quando sua mãe rica e bem-sucedida, Umeko, invade sua vida e tenta moldar Setsu. Ela o matricula de volta no colégio, mas ele pouco sab e que está prestes a redescobrir sua paixão pelo Shamisen. Online

1 - Desolate

Sawamura Matsugorou, the grandfather of a young Tsugaru shamisen player, Sawamura Setsu, has died. In losing the grandfather whom hed always admired, Setsu has lost his own sound, and so he has gone to Tokyo with no plans other than to search for what hes lost. When he gets caught up in some trouble, hes saved by Tachiki Yuna, a woman who works at a hostess club. Events progress, and Setsu ends up unveiling his musical skills as the opening act for a live concert...

3 - Sudden Downpour

Shuri is caught listening to music during class and has her cellphone confiscated. The song heard through her earphones is Setsus grandfather, Matsugoros, improvisation piece Shungyou. How? How does she know that song? When Setsu asks about it, Shuri tells him thats a song that holds precious memories for her and her grandmother.
